Today, Golden Grove Cub Unit went tree planting with Friends of Cobbler Creek, for their tree planting day.
They received funding to hold Plant a Tree for the Queen’s Jubilee event and Golden Grove Joeys and Cubs, along with Greenwith Scouts, and various community members, attended to plant a number of trees.
Animal Anonymous were also there and several Cubs were fascinated with the animals. One even took a business card, so they could talk to their parents about doing a booking for their next birthday.
It was a great opportunity to get the Cubs to do some environmental work, working within another community group as well as being seen in the community. Win Win around.
