Today, we had two Cubs from Golden Grove Scout Group attend the Personal Development Course at Magill Scout Hall.
The Personal Development Course is a full day activity, which is apart of the award scheme.
The Cub Scout Personal Development Course is to assist Cubs in their role as a Patrol Leader or Assistant Patrol Leader and by attending the course will gain confidence, strengthen their own abilities, and be prepared to take on responsibility in the Unit.
Not every youth member will attend a course, but for those going for their Peak Award from Cub Section to Rover Section, there is a need to attend one. It is not a requirement for the Joey Section Peak Award, but for all the other section Peak Awards, it is.
During the day, the youth members cover problem solving, team work, communication, and discussing what they think makes a good leader.
Overall, it was a great day, and each cub who attended will have taken something away from the day.
