Today, we had youth members
attend various Dawn Services around Adelaide. We were then joined by a family
in the city for Anzac Day March in the city.
It was small crowd, but we still showed our support for those who have chosen to serve in the defence forces over the years.
Those who did attend various services etc, will be able to earn the “Their Service, Our Heritage” badge. We’ll sort out who is eligible when we start Cubs back for term 2 next week.
Just a short entry, to confirm that Scouting person and I attended the ANZAC evening service, put on by Playford Council. It was for the start of the overnight vigil. The service is short, and for those who are unable to attend a Dawn Service, it is an ideal way to do something for ANZAC Day. We had the Joey section represented as well as several Cub section families. It was also pleasing to see the local scout groups involved with the overnight vigil that was happening at the same location.
