Today was a early start, before we left the scout hall and headed up the hill to Woodhouse for another day's training.
We had a chance to do more shooting, and trying to teach some youth members what to do. It was their 1st time, and they enjoyed their taste of it, they are asking their leaders to do it again!
The day flew past, and then it was time for the written aspect of the training. Now, Akela just has to do some shoots to get hours up!
It was a good weekend and glad Akela took us with her. Looking forward to getting out and about to some archery shoots in the coming months.
Welcome to the scouting adventures of Wilbur. I go out with Golden Grove Cub Unit and live with Raksha , who takes me to lots of activities and events. There is always something happening somewhere.

Archery Training Day One - with early morning fog
Today, Akela and I had a early start. We needed to be at Glen Osmond Scout Hall by 9am for the 1st day of Archery training.
We were a bit worried to start with, as there was a lot of fog around. We managed to get some photos in the city, when it was light enough to be able to take photos. It is not often that Adelaide has this much fog in the city.
Upon arrival at Glen Osmond Scout Hall, we were glad it was clear enough to be able to see clearly.
It was a good day, with both theory, hands on experience and good food. The evening was great, spending it around a open fire, talking.

Traveling Wilbur
It was with much pleasure that we received word that Traveling Wilbur arrived in Canada. He has landed in British Columbia and has started his adventures traveling through Canada. It sounds like he was heading right out for a camping trip!
As soon as we get a photo, we will post here and regular up dates as they occur.

Traveling Wilbur is on his way
Today,
we finally said farewell to Traveling Wilbur and he is now on his way to
Canada’s East Coast to start his world Adventure. We hope he is able to visit
as many Cub Packs while he is there as he possibly can.

Scarf for travel
Akela
finished the scarf that Travelling Wilbur will wear on his travels. However, we
didn’t get to the post office in time to get him sent off today. So he will be
heading away on Monday, 14th of July. We are going to miss him
greatly, but we are sure that he will have a brilliant time while he is away.
We know he is going to be well looked after and will get lots of attention
while he is there.
