Micky Mawson has landed in......Grand Falls - CANADA!

Well, it's with much relief that we can announce Micky has landed in Grand Falls, Newfoundland, Canada. For those who dont know, "Grand Falls-Windsor is a town located in the central region of the island of Newfoundland in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, with a population of 13,725 at the 2011 census.^[1] The town is the largest in the central region, the fifth largest in the province, and is home to the annual Exploits Valley Salmon Festival.^[2] Grand Falls-Windsor was incorporated in 1991 when the two former towns of Grand Falls and Windsor amalgamated." Micky Mawson

Micky Mawson is a small monkey that Akela bought. She had a idea to send a small toy on a adventure around the world. However, she couldn't find easily, a spare sheep to go. So Micky was convinced it was a great idea.

Micky 1st went to Far North Queensland, to visit some scouts there, and is now currently on his way to Canada. It is hoped he gets there in time for the Canadian Jamboree.

He is traveling light, as a good scout would, with just a USB for adding of photos as he goes on his travels. As Akela and I get up dates of his travels, we will be adding them here to share with people.

Just so everyone knows what he looks like, this is a picture Akela took before he headed off on his adventures.

Adelaide Weather

Now that Micky has left us on his globe trotting adventures, Adelaide is experiancing some very nice weather. In fact, we're experiancing very nice BEACH weather. Not bad considering that we are heading into Winter!

Packing

We are packing for camp as we are heading away for the weekend. I will fill everyone in when I get back where we have gone...We thought a element of surprise on this one would be a good thing for a change. Hope you all agree.

What we can say for certain is that Micky Mawson will be heading off for his adventures on Sunday or Monday and we know that he will have a lot of fun while is visiting scout groups over seas. He is going to Far North Queensland before heading off to Canada, followed by South Africa. Micky is attend Cub Leadership Course before he leaves, which we hope will be beneficial to him for his adventures.
